RIDING THE SILVER DREAM

Today we are living in a world that has changed greatly. Time has become instant and doesn’t move at the same rate. What I found in a dusty arena is a way of life lived true. Time standing still in motion.

A vision coming full circle from a small town where I call home. Traveling back to where the journey began.

The rodeo comes from a place held dear inside, a passage from the past that has brought me here today. For one year now I’ve followed this dream. A feeling and connection traveling across the country, making stops where I was guided by the people within these frames. New faces leading to new places by the families who helped lead the way.

Each season has meaning. Holding the moments in-between, a road that seems to never end. Open fields in faded jeans, from a working ranch where it all begins. Back roads leading to highways, intersections into a bigger lane. Left turns to the bright lights of the parking lot, walking into the main stage where the dream from home begins.

Riding free with all they’ve got, using instincts from wisdom gained. Generational knowledge that leads the way. Dedication to the same destination. A love felt in common with no guarantee.

The rodeo has come to town, the show at a full-speed gallop. Holding on to win the prize, then on to the next town for another ride.

What I’ve seen and felt is like no other, a way of life that follows the sunrise.

I could follow this road forever. Open roads that come from home, living for what they love. A trail that brings them together. Riding the silver dream.
